Linda Philip
Trauma Psychotherapist
Linda brings together 24 years of experience in private practice as a counsellor and therapist. Her approach is compassionate and collaborative, facilitating people through a process of self-discovery and transformation of their deepest issues.
She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Social work, specializing in Mental Health and since then has been passionately dedicated to exploring, studying and implementing some of the worlds most effective personal change modalities & psychotherapeutic techniques to resolve trauma, shift unwanted emotion, thinking, behaviour and break through limiting beliefs. In 2011, she launched a successful online worldwide tele-summit bringing together international teachers of transformational theory and practice.
She has an ability to quickly see the themes that run through a person's experience and identify the beliefs that hold them hostage, creating unwanted patterns in their life and bringing about a change in perspective. She celebrates the uniqueness of each individual's journey, who they truly are, and guides them to foster greater self-compassion.
She has a deep understanding of the effects of trauma on our brains and bodies and is skilled in being able to hone in on key past events that keep people stuck in distress. This causes symptoms to arise such as depression, anxiety, anxiety-related issues and behaviours, PTSD, stress, fatigue and pain.
Based on what an individual needs, holding a non-judgemental space and applying a couple of key ingredients necessary for change, she can gently, effectively and safely guide people to quickly clear emotion from the past, reclaim their power and step into powerful peace. From this place of inner calm, their innate wisdom enables them to realise their capacity to successfully create their future with renewed freedom and confidence.
